Tips on how to make your bouquets lasts in the vase

Always make sure that the vase is filled up with fresh water. To get the most out of your flowers,  re-cut the stems and always check that the water is clean every few days. Use a sharp knife or secateur to cut about 2 cm of the bottom of the stem. Take off any leaves below water line because it can produce bacteria in water and dirty water absorbed by the stem will lessen the vase life of the flowers. You can add flower food in the vase water if you may.

It would be advisable to display the flowers away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents. Do not place it on top of the television or heaters. These places can dehydrate the flowers. Also, avoid placing them beside ripe fruits. They release ethylene gas that will cause the flowers to ripen prematurely.  Change the vase water every 3 to 4 days.
